On August 12th, 2017, James Alex Fields Jr., a white supremacist, deliberately drove his car into a crowd of people protesting against a Right-wing rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer of Charlottesville, and injuring 35 others.
Fields was immediately arrested and held without bail. The Attorney General was Jeff Sessions and President Trump was in the White House. Justice was swift.
Just over a year later, in December of 2018 Fields was found guilty of first-degree murder, hit and run, and eight counts of malicious wounding. He’s currently serving two life sentences, plus an additional 419 years on other charges.

On September 18th, 2022, Shannon Brandt – a North Dakota man known to his neighbors for “booze-fueled rampages” and “being nuts his whole life” – ran down and murdered 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson.
Brandt told Police that the boy was a “Republican extremist” and that he murdered the teen over a “political dispute”.
Under Attorney General Merrick Garland, with President Biden in the White House, Brandt is currently free on bail. So far, justice is at least delayed. It’ll be interesting to see how this case progresses.
Apparently, this incident doesn’t warrant a Wikipedia article.

Apart from 35 injured in Charlottesville, someone please explain to me the difference between these two murders, and why Brandt is out on bail.
Two young kids dead as a result of politically fueled hate.
In one case, the perpetrator was immediately arrested, held without bail, rapidly tried, and convicted. In the other, the perpetrator is free on bail… just as we have seen over and over again in nearly every large, Democrat-controlled city in America over the past few years.
I’m not trying to say that there is not violence committed by the Right; there is. I’ve written extensively in the past about the fact that violence is the preferred tool of Socialists, Communists, and other flavors of Leftists. It’s why Leftist governments must disarm their citizens before consolidating power. But there is violence perpetrated by Conservatives as well.
What I am saying is that the American Socialist Left is playing a very dangerous game by framing the American Conservative Right as evil… as Nazis… as literally being worthy of “cancellation”, of having their careers and livelihood destroyed, of having their children harassed, even of being run down in the street and murdered. And when our President stands up in front of Independence Hall and calls Conservatives an existential threat to democracy, and when our “justice system” releases a murderer, such as Shannon Brandt of North Dakota on bail, we only reinforce that message.
