Can you imagine your friends telling you things like, “just go to your job, come home, watch the game on cable, spend time with your family, and don’t cause trouble”?
How about “don’t speak out so much man, and you won’t attract so much attention from the government. Can’t you just accept your place in life? Those rebels are always screaming about “freedom”; we ARE free!”
“Free speech? You mean speaking out against the government that has provided all of us soooo much? You got a gun hidden somewhere in your house? You don’t need a gun – we have Police and Soldiers to protect us… LOTS of Police and Soldiers.”
“Sure prices have gone up, but look at all you have! Hell you’re only working 30 hours a freakin’ week… our parents worked at least 40 hours a week and had to pay out of pocket for things like food and life insurance.”

“What?!? You use a fake e-mail address and an anonymizer to surf the Internet?!? Dude! I do NOT want to KNOW! They caught my neighbor with some of that s#!t and the next thing he was being audited by the IRS, the EPA declared that his back yard was polluted, and the ATF found an illegal firearm actually hidden in his basement when they raided his house! Now he’s got a ton of legal problems and Child Protective Services has taken his freakin’ KIDS!”
“Look – just don’t screw with the government, work hard, do what you’re told, smoke a little pot, and you won’t have any trouble! Just keep a low profile man. Now have a beer and let’s do some X-Box!”
Well much of this sort of crap is already happening right her in America – right now! She talks about the “weaponization of government” and tells how after she first testified before Congress to tell her story of trying to get her Conservative non-profit status from the IRS, she was ganged up on by the IRS – AGAIN!, the EPA, the FBI, the ATF, and the OSHA. If something isn’t done – and so far NOTHING has been done – then this sort of crap will only get worse in the very near future, and conversations like the fictional one above will become reality.
We ALL need to stand up and shout “We’re mad as hell, and we’re not gonna take it anymore!”
All governments exert power over their people, backed by threat of violence (arrest, jail, even execution) which manifests in fear on the part of the governed to some extent, and our Founding Fathers understood that when they wrote the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Having only just thrown off the shackles of tyranny they gave our government only just enough power to run the nation. Then gave some other power to the States, but the MAJORITY of the power they left with the people!
Then they wisely built in layer after layer of safeguards, such as three EQUAL branches of government and regular elections.
Our current President is leading an administration that is the very danger our Founding Fathers battled and the Constitution was designed to avoid.
During the 2014 State of the Union address President Obama had the audacity to actually say that he intended to bypass Congress whenever he could! At that proclamation the Democrats in the Senate and the House of Representatives actually stood and applauded! At best that is dereliction of duty. At worst it’s treason.
Remember that power does not reside with government, it resides with people.
Remember that “rights” – real American “rights” – are all laid out in the Constitution and the amendments.
Remember that our Founding Fathers wrote right up front in our Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.”
And today a group of Democrat Senators and Representatives led by Democrat New York Senator Chuck Schumer made vulnerable by their own previous support to ObamaCare are publically calling for the IRS to step up their investigation of Conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, in order to defund and silence Conservative PACs – even as Congress is still in the middle of the investigation for the same thing from back in 2012! They aren’t even hiding this crap anymore people! And the main stream media simply ignores it all and busies themselves by attacking any likely challenger to their darling candidate for 2016 Hillary Clinton, on whose shoulders rest the geneses of the raid on our embassy in Benghazi!
Currently our President, the Democrat Party and the anti-gun Liberals are doing their level best to negate one of our rights – perhaps our most important rights – the right to keep and bear arms. Lately their efforts have risen to a near frenzied level. Why do you suppose that is? Could it be that they fear an armed revolution?
If they do not now fear an armed revolution… maybe they should.
Radical? Ya – that’s radical.
