The recent White House “Summit to Counter Violent Extremism” (18-20 Feb, 2015) probably cost taxpayers a million dollars. Seriously. All those diplomats and religious scholars travelling from all around the world to attend that thing. Undoubtedly the Secret Service provided all the additional security. I bet the State Department footed the bill for lodging and for transportation to and from the event, via big, black, government owned armored Chevy Suburbans. Hell, I bet the bill for the wine and caviar alone was a couple hundred grand!
Funny thing – despite a diligent search of the Internet (something I’m pretty good at) I can’t find a list of the attendees to this event anywhere!
Another funny thing – the summit was opened with a Muslim prayer delivered by Imam Sheikh Sa’ad Musse Roble, president of the World Peace Organization in Minneapolis. The Quranic verses he cited translate to mean, “Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it’s as if he has slain mankind entirely; and whoever saves one life, it’s as if he has saved mankind entirely.”
Sounds pretty peaceful… right?
How about this interpretation made from the viewpoint of a fundamentalist Jihadist Muslim terrorist;
“Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul [meaning that it is permissible to claim an “eye for an eye” in retribution for all of the Muslims murdered by the United States] or for corruption in the land [such as the rampant homosexuality, drug use, or the other blasphemies practiced in the Western World, and by their military forces present in Saudi Arabia within a short camel’s ride of Mecca], it’s as if he has slain mankind entirely; and whoever saves one life, it’s as if he has saved mankind entirely [so the terrorist proclaims “As a Muslim “Freedom Fighter” engaged in Holy Jihad, it is clear in the eyes of Allah that I am saving the lives of countless Muslims by bring war to the Great Satan that is the western world, and Israel and the United States in particular].”
The mindset of the terrorist is not the mindset of a peaceful Muslim. I discuss this in my article “Let’s Call A Spade A Spade, Shall We?”
If I were designing a propaganda campaign for ISIS I would have one of my own Imams release a point-for-point “illumination” video of Imam Roble’s address, and thank him for bringing “the message of ISIS – in the form of the words of Mohammad (praise be unto Him) to the leader of the Great Satan and the collection of puppets he has assembled to try to deceive the American people that the Islamic Jihad is not moving toward them… we will soon be in your shopping malls, your theaters and your sports arenas with the might of Allah’s retribution in our hands!”
One more funny thing about President Obama’s summit… no other faiths were represented – only Islam.
You may be asking yourselves what came out of such an expenditure of taxpayer money, government resources, and of course the three days of time our President and Secretary of State devoted to the event, what with all the other critical events happening around the world.
Well, turns out the President’s summit was actually quite productive! Apparently we finally we have a real solution to the threat of “violent extremism”! According to the White House, fundamentalist Jihadist Muslim terrorists have legitimate grievances as our President states in the op-ed he penned by his own hand…
“Governments that deny human rights play into the hands of extremists who claim that violence is the only way to achieve change. Efforts to counter violent extremism will only succeed if citizens can address legitimate grievances through the democratic process and express themselves through strong civil societies. Those efforts must be matched by economic, educational and entrepreneurial development so people have hope for a life of dignity.”

From that start point Obama’s summit managed to determine that these grievances can be successfully resolved by…

Read the official “fact sheet” and you will see that our President is approaching this the only way he seems to know how… as a community organizer!
Now I have said many times that this war – and it is most definitely a war my friends – cannot be won by force of arms alone. As a practitioner of Information Operations I fully understand “full spectrum”, “total government” actions which bring the full power of our nation to bear on our adversaries. These are typically expressed with the acronym DIME – Diplomatic, Information, Military, and Economic.
The product of the White House Summit to Counter Violent Extremism is obviously NOT a “total government” solution at all, although you will note that it is in fact emblazoned with the epithet “Solution” in bold font! You will also note that this graphic depicts that solution as a FULL CIRCLE of actions. These “actions” form a cycle that would presumably be repeated until we achieve ‘victory.’ You will also note that at no point in this ‘circle of solution’ do the words “Drop laser guided bombs” or “Insert Special Operations Direct Action Teams” appear.
Lastly I will draw your attention to this bit about the “solution” beginning in “your community.” This certainly implies that fundamentalist Jihadist Muslim terrorism began in our “communities” where these ‘poor unfortunates had little opportunity’, and were probably ‘made to feel disenfranchised by their neighbors.’ In fact this viewpoint has been laid out in exactly those terms during the past several weeks by our President and nearly every key member of his administration.

President Obama views the fundamentalist Jihadist Muslim terrorist threat as a criminal problem that begins and ends in the community – whether here in America, in Europe or in the Muslim world.
Mr. President ISIS and the rest of the fundamentalist Jihadist Muslim terrorist organizations we are seeing commit the most heinous atrocities imaginable across the world do not listen to your speeches. They don’t give a shit about your community organizing. They think your refusal to even call them Muslims proves you are a weak leader, and they are exploiting that fact in their propaganda. They don’t need jobs because they have seized oil fields in Iraq that bring in millions of dollars a day. The only “grievances” they have is that Christianity and Judaism continue to exist.
Wake up or you will preside over the beginning of the destruction of America.
